🧬 HSE documentation - safety translation in Tbilisi
HSE Safety Rules and Procedures - Translated Once, So Every Crew Is Briefed From the Same Text
On a site where the engineers speak one language, the foremen another and the crews a third, the safety system works only if every person reads the same rules. We translate HSE documentation - risk assessments, method statements, permits to work, inductions, emergency plans, incident reports - with HSE professionals and engineers, into the languages of the crews on Georgian sites and the languages of the parent companies that set the standards, so that the rule on the wall, in the induction and in the permit is the same rule.

Safety on multilingual sites
Georgia's large projects are multilingual by nature: a Chinese contractor's engineers, Georgian crews and Turkish subcontractors on a tunnel; Norwegian and Georgian engineers with crews from several regions on a hydropower plant; Uzbek, Turkmen, Thai, Indian and Georgian workers in construction, hospitality and agriculture; foreign supervisors and Georgian operators in factories and mines; and the labor inspectorate reading everything in Georgian. Georgia's labor safety law, strengthened in recent years, requires employers to assess risks, instruct workers in a language they understand, keep records and report incidents, and international contractors bring their own HSE systems - Norwegian HMS, British and American HSE, German Arbeitsschutz, Chinese 安全生产, Turkish İSG - that they must apply to Georgian crews and report from to head office. A safety document that a worker cannot read is not a safety document, and a safety system whose Georgian version differs from its English version is two systems; we translate HSE documentation so that it is one system in every language.
Risk assessments, method statements and permits to work
The core documents of site safety are procedural and precise. Risk assessments identify hazards, the people at risk, the controls and the residual risk in a matrix that must be reproduced exactly; safe work method statements (SWMS, RAMS) set out the sequence of a task with the controls at each step; job safety analyses and task risk assessments do the same for specific jobs; and permit-to-work systems - hot work, confined space, working at height, electrical isolation, excavation, lifting - control high-risk activities with forms that are signed at each stage and must be understood by the person signing. We translate these with HSE professionals and engineers in the industry, render hazard, control and PPE terminology in the terms the target country's safety practice uses (and in the plain words the crew uses where the formal term would not be understood), reproduce risk matrices and forms exactly in the original layout, and keep the terminology consistent from the risk assessment through the method statement to the permit, so that a control named in one appears under the same name in the others.
Inductions, toolbox talks, signs and emergency plans
The documents crews actually see are the induction presentation, the site rules on the board, the toolbox talk sheet, the signs and the emergency plan, and these are translated for immediate comprehension: short sentences, the crew's vocabulary, the signal words and colors of the safety sign standards (ISO 7010 and the Georgian and national adoptions), and layouts that work on a noticeboard and a phone. We translate induction materials and videos (with subtitles or voice-over), toolbox talk series, site rules and posters, PPE matrices, emergency response and evacuation plans, first aid and fire procedures, and the safety cards workers carry, into the languages of every crew on the site - Georgian, Russian, Turkish, Uzbek, Turkmen, Chinese, Thai, Hindi and others - from one source, so that the same induction is given in every language, and we produce bilingual and multilingual versions where a document must be read by mixed groups.
Incident reports, investigations and the labor inspectorate
When something goes wrong, documents flow fast and are read by people with consequences in mind. Incident and accident reports, near-miss reports, investigation reports with root cause analyses, witness statements, medical reports and the corrective action plans that follow are written on site in the crew's or the supervisor's language and must be translated for head office, for the client, for insurers and, in Georgia, for the labor inspectorate and, in serious cases, the police and prosecutors, with the exactness that an investigation and possible proceedings require. We translate incident documentation with the same HSE team that knows the site's system, on the reporting deadlines the company and the law set, and we translate the labor inspectorate's notices, findings and correspondence for foreign management and the company's responses into Georgian; we provide interpreters for inspectorate visits, investigations and interviews.
HSE management systems, environmental and social plans
Above the site documents sit the systems. HSE manuals and policies, ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 documentation, contractor HSE requirements, HSE plans for projects, and the environmental and social management plans (ESMPs), stakeholder engagement plans and grievance mechanisms that international lenders require on infrastructure, energy and mining projects are translated for the parent company, the client, the lender and the Georgian authorities and communities they concern; safety data sheets for chemicals on site are translated to the GHS and CLP formats Georgian and foreign regulations require; and training programs and competency records are translated for group reporting. We translate these with HSE professionals, engineers and environmental specialists, maintain one terminology database across a company's or project's HSE system, and serve continuing HSE translation under framework agreements for contractors, developers and industrial companies.
Pricing, timing and how to order
HSE documentation is priced per page at the technical tariff, with translation memory discounts across a system's documents and multilingual sets, per-minute rates for video subtitling and voice-over, and framework rates for companies and projects with continuing HSE flows; certified translations include a certificate of translation for the inspectorate, clients and lenders, and notarization is added where a proceeding requires it. Site rules and toolbox talks are translated in a day; a set of risk assessments and method statements in a few days; a full HSE system or ESMP in one to three weeks with a team; incident reports on the reporting deadline.
To order, send the documents in their source format on email, WhatsApp or Telegram, with the languages of the crews and the parent company, the industry and any existing terminology; we reply within the hour with a fixed quote, the HSE specialist and a schedule, and we propose the multilingual set that covers every crew from one source. Delivery is by email in the original formats, ready for the noticeboard, the induction room and the permit office.
