Armenian passports, ID cards and driving licenses

The passport is the first document every Armenian citizen in Georgia needs translated: for the residence permit, for registering as an individual entrepreneur, for opening a bank account, for a lease, for property and for marriage. We translate and notarize the Armenian biometric passport, the older non-biometric passport, the identification card and the residence registration data from a clear photo, without the original, and courier the notarized translation to you - the only fully online notarized translation in Tbilisi. Armenian driving licenses are translated for the Service Agency when exchanging a license or presenting it after an accident, and for car rental and insurance companies. Transliteration follows the Latin form in your passport, converted to Georgian by the official rules and kept on file so every document matches; Armenian names have long-standing Georgian spellings in Tbilisi, and we use the form you already carry on Georgian documents if you have any.

Police clearance certificate

Required for every Georgian temporary residence permit and for many employment contracts. The certificate is issued by the Armenian Police and is obtainable through the police service centers, through the e-government portal, or through the Armenian Embassy in Tbilisi for citizens abroad, and it is apostilled by the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Validity is short and Georgian practice treats a certificate older than a few months with suspicion, so obtain it as close to the application date as possible and send us a scan immediately so the translation is ready when the paper arrives. We translate the certificate in full, including the apostille and any verification block, and notarize it the same day.

Birth, marriage, divorce and death certificates from the ՔԿԱԳ

ՔԿԱԳ certificates are needed in Georgia for family residence permits, for marriage at the House of Justice, for adding a child to a permit, for school enrollment, for inheritance and for divorce proceedings. Certificates issued since the late 1990s are in Armenian; earlier ones are bilingual Armenian-Russian or Soviet-era Russian, and we translate from whichever language is used, noting the issuing republic where it matters. In the other direction, Georgian certificates from the Public Service Development Agency go to Armenian civil registries, the embassy, notaries and the pension system, translated into Armenian, notarized and apostilled. Every translation reproduces the certificate field by field, including stamps and reverse-side notes, because the registrar compares layouts. For inheritance cases we frequently translate chains of certificates spanning three generations and two alphabets.

Marital status certificates and child travel consents

To marry in Georgia, an Armenian citizen presents a certificate that there is no impediment to marriage, obtained from the ՔԿԱԳ or the Armenian Embassy in Tbilisi, translated and notarized here; divorced applicants add the divorce certificate or court decision. Georgian citizens marrying in Armenia need the Georgian marital status certificate translated into Armenian, notarized and apostilled. Certificates of residence and registration are requested by Georgian banks and by the Revenue Service for tax residency, and Georgian residence certificates are translated into Armenian for Armenian tax and social purposes.

Child travel consents are a daily order on this border: a notarized consent from the parent staying behind when a child leaves Georgia with one parent, or a consent issued in Armenia for a child traveling to Georgia with grandparents for the summer or for school. We draft bilingual consents at our notary with an interpreter and translate Armenian consents for use at Georgian borders and schools.

Soviet-era documents, work books and archive extracts

Armenian-Georgian files are unusually rich in Soviet-era paper: birth and marriage certificates from the Armenian and Georgian SSRs, work books (трудовые книжки) needed for pensions in either country, house books and residence records for citizenship and inheritance, military cards, and archive extracts from ZAGS and enterprise archives. These are handwritten or typed in Russian, Armenian or both, with stamps that have faded, and translating them accurately is a skill in itself. Our translators read Soviet administrative handwriting fluently, reproduce every stamp and annotation, and mark genuinely illegible words rather than guess. Georgian pension and citizenship authorities and Armenian pension and notarial authorities accept our notarized translations of these documents routinely.

Bank statements, employment documents, and how to order

Georgian banks and the Public Service Development Agency want proof of income and, for banks, an explanation of where money comes from. We translate Armenian bank statements from Ameriabank, Ardshinbank, ACBA, Inecobank and others, employment contracts, income statements from the State Revenue Committee, pension certificates, property sale agreements, and freelance platform statements. Figures are checked twice, and for long statements we translate the header, totals and relevant transactions rather than every line when the receiving bank permits.

To order, send photos of every page, both sides, with stamps legible, on WhatsApp, Viber or Telegram; we reply in Armenian, Russian or Georgian within 15 minutes with a fixed quote. Passports and driving licenses need nothing further. For other documents the notary must see the original, which you bring to Agmashenebeli 117 near Marjanishvili Metro when the translation is ready, or courier to us from Javakheti, Batumi, Kutaisi or Yerevan. Delivery is by scan the moment the notary signs, by collection at the office, by courier in Tbilisi the same day, or by courier to any Georgian city or to Armenia. Most personal documents are finished within the same afternoon.
