Armenian logistics firms at Georgian ports, IT companies in Tbilisi, wine and brandy distributors, and families settling inheritances in two countries - all run on documents in two alphabets. We keep the Armenian and Georgian versions legally aligned.

Registering a Georgian company with Armenian founders

Armenian citizens and companies register Georgian LLCs and individual entrepreneur status for transit and logistics operations, for trading through Poti and Batumi, for IT services and for tourism and hospitality in Tbilisi and on the coast. Registration at the House of Justice needs a notarized Georgian translation of the founder's passport, and for an LLC the charter and founding decision, which we draft bilingually so the founder signs an Armenian text that matches the Georgian one. If the founder is an Armenian company, its State Register extract, charter and decision to establish the Georgian subsidiary are apostilled by the Armenian Ministry of Justice and translated here; powers of attorney from Armenia to a Georgian representative are the most common single document. The whole package is translated and notarized within a business day. Once the Georgian company exists, its Public Registry extract and charter are translated into Armenian for the founder's Armenian banks and the State Revenue Committee.

Transit, logistics, customs and trade documents

Most of Armenia's imports and exports pass through Georgia, and the paperwork passes through translators. Armenian freight forwarders, importers and exporters, and Georgian customs brokers and port operators, need contracts of carriage, CMR consignment notes, transit declarations, certificates of origin, EAEU and Georgian conformity certificates, phytosanitary and veterinary certificates, invoices and packing lists translated between Armenian, Georgian, Russian and English, often within hours because a truck is waiting at Sadakhlo or a container at Poti. We run a dedicated logistics desk for this work with bulk rates for regular clients, translators who know the Revenue Service customs vocabulary and the EAEU terminology Armenia uses, and same-day turnaround as the default. Georgian exporters of wine, mineral water and agricultural products to Armenia, and Armenian exporters of brandy, wine and food products to Georgia, use the same desk for their certificates and labels.

Contracts between Armenian and Georgian parties

Georgian law permits contracts in any language, but the Georgian version is what a registry or court reads, and the same is true of Armenian in Armenia, so cross-border contracts are drafted bilingually in parallel columns. We translate supply and distribution agreements, carriage and forwarding agreements, lease agreements for warehouses and offices, employment contracts for Armenian staff in Georgia and Georgian staff in Armenia, service agreements for IT companies, sale and purchase agreements for property and vehicles, loan agreements between relatives, and shareholder agreements. The translator is a legal specialist who keeps defined terms and numbering consistent and flags where an Armenian legal concept needs a lawyer's decision on the Georgian equivalent rather than a translator's guess.

Inheritance, property and family law across the border

This is the legal work most specific to the Armenian-Georgian pair. Estates with an apartment in Tbilisi and a house in Gyumri, heirs in both countries, and documents from three generations in two alphabets are handled by our legal team together with the notary at Agmashenebeli 117. We translate death certificates, chains of birth and marriage certificates proving kinship, wills, notarial certificates of inheritance from either country, court decisions establishing legal facts, Public Registry and Cadastre extracts, and Soviet-era house books and archive records, and we notarize and apostille them for the notary or court on the other side. Divorce and custody decisions, alimony orders and property division judgments between Armenian and Georgian courts are translated for recognition and enforcement, and under the bilateral treaty recognition is simpler than for most foreign judgments.

Bank compliance, financial statements and tax documents

Georgian banks' compliance departments request translated documents from Armenian business clients: company registration documents, contracts with customers, invoices, tax returns, audit reports and explanations of the origin of capital. We translate financial statements under Armenian accounting standards and IFRS, audit opinions, tax residency and tax clearance certificates from the State Revenue Committee, VAT documents and shareholder resolutions, with accountants on the team reconciling every figure. Certified translations are usually sufficient for compliance review; notarized ones are required to open accounts and for large transactions. Armenian companies with Georgian subsidiaries need the Georgian tax certificates and financial statements translated into Armenian for the State Revenue Committee, and treaty relief under the Georgia-Armenia double taxation agreement requires translated residency certificates.

Court documents, arbitration, confidentiality and how projects run

Disputes involving Armenian parties in Georgian courts - commercial disputes over freight and supply, debt recovery, corporate disputes between co-founders, and the family and inheritance matters described above - require notarized Georgian translations of contracts, correspondence, bank records and Armenian judgments. Georgian judgments and notarized loan deeds are translated into Armenian for recognition and enforcement in Armenia. Arbitration clauses referring to the Georgian International Arbitration Centre or Armenian arbitration institutions produce bilingual submissions and awards that we translate under deadline.

Every translator, editor and courier is bound by a non-disclosure agreement, files are encrypted and access is limited to the assigned team. Corporate clients get a glossary and translation memory from their first project, so terms stay consistent and repeated text is not billed twice. A project runs in a fixed pattern: fixed quote within the hour, a legal or financial specialist plus a reviewer, questions returned in a single batch, delivery in the original format, and notarization and apostille scheduled in parallel with translation. Framework agreements with monthly invoicing and priority notary slots are available for logistics companies, law firms and accounting practices serving Armenian clients.
