Bosnian civil status documents come from the matični ured of the općina or opština where the event was registered, on the form of the entity concerned: the Federation's izvod iz matične knjige rođenih, vjenčanih and umrlih, Republika Srpska's equivalents, often in Cyrillic, and Brčko District's. Since the 2010s izvodi are issued without expiry, but many offices - Georgian and Bosnian alike - want a recently issued copy, and certificates from before the war may be on Yugoslav forms that need a current re-issue. Georgian authorities accept these, apostilled by the competent court, translated and notarized here, for marriage registration, family residence permits, inheritance and divorce proceedings. Divorce in Bosnia is evidenced by the court's presuda and its note in the matična knjiga. In the other direction, Georgian birth, marriage and death certificates go to Bosnian matični uredi for registration and marriage, and to the Služba for family residence; these are apostilled and translated into Bosnian. The uvjerenje o državljanstvu, issued from the matična knjiga državljana by the municipality and confirming citizenship of Bosnia and Herzegovina and of the entity, is asked for alongside the rodni list in almost every Bosnian procedure and by some Georgian offices in citizenship and residence matters; Bosnia permits dual citizenship with countries with which it has agreements and in other cases under conditions, and Bosnians acquiring Georgian citizenship, Georgians acquiring Bosnian citizenship by marriage or descent, and children of mixed couples registering both citizenships generate translated citizenship certificates, birth certificates and declarations in both directions.
