Russian, Belarusian, Kazakh and other CIS passports and driving licenses
The passport is the first document every Russian-speaking newcomer needs translated: for the residence permit, for registering as an individual entrepreneur, for opening a bank account, for buying property, for a lease agreement and for marriage. We translate and notarize Russian, Belarusian, Kazakh, Kyrgyz, Uzbek, Armenian, Tajik and Ukrainian passports from a clear photo of the data page, without the original, and courier the notarized translation to you - the only fully online notarized translation in Tbilisi. Internal Russian passports, which have registration stamps and family pages that Georgian offices sometimes ask for, are translated in full.
Driving licenses are translated for the Service Agency when exchanging a license or presenting it after an accident, and for car rental and insurance companies. The key detail is transliteration: your Georgian spelling must be identical across every document, and we keep the spelling on file from the first translation onward.
Police clearance certificates (справка о несудимости)
Required for every Georgian temporary residence permit and for many employment contracts. The certificate is issued by the МВД in Russia, by the Prosecutor General's Committee in Kazakhstan and by the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Belarus and other CIS states, and it must be apostilled in the issuing country before we translate it. Validity is short, and Georgian practice treats a certificate older than a few months with suspicion, so we recommend obtaining it as close to the application date as possible and sending us a scan immediately so the translation is waiting when the paper arrives. Electronic certificates from Gosuslugi and eGov with an electronic apostille are increasingly common; we translate these too, including the verification block.
Birth, marriage, divorce and death certificates from ЗАГС
ЗАГС certificates from Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and the other republics are needed in Georgia for family residence permits, for registering a marriage at the House of Justice, for adding a child to a permit, for inheritance and for divorce proceedings. Soviet-era certificates, still frequently presented for inheritance and pension cases, are translated with their original terminology and any republican-language column. Georgian ЗАГС-equivalent certificates from the Public Service Development Agency go the other way for marriage registration in Russia, for children's citizenship and for pensions, apostilled and translated into Russian. In all cases the translation reproduces the certificate field by field, including stamps and reverse-side notes, because the registrar compares layouts.
Marital status, residence certificates and child travel consents
To marry in Georgia, a Russian-speaking citizen presents a certificate confirming there is no impediment to marriage, obtained from ЗАГС or from the home country's consulate, apostilled where applicable, and translated and notarized here. Divorced applicants add the divorce certificate. Certificates of residence and registration are requested by Georgian banks and by the Revenue Service for tax residency purposes, and we translate both Russian and Georgian versions depending on the direction.
Child travel consents are a daily order: a notarized consent from the parent staying behind when a child leaves Georgia with one parent, or a consent issued in Russia or Kazakhstan for a child traveling to Georgia with grandparents. We draft bilingual consents at our notary with an interpreter and translate foreign consents for use at Georgian borders and schools.
Bank statements, employment documents and source of funds
Georgian banks and the Public Service Development Agency want proof of income and, for banks, an explanation of where money comes from. We translate Russian bank statements from Sberbank, Tinkoff, Alfa-Bank, VTB and their Kazakh and Belarusian counterparts, employment contracts, 2-НДФЛ and 3-НДФЛ tax forms, pension certificates, property sale agreements, dividend and share sale records, and freelance platform statements. Figures are checked twice, and for long statements we translate the header, totals and relevant transactions rather than every line when the receiving bank permits. Turnaround is same day, because accounts and applications are usually waiting on these documents.
How to send documents and receive the notarized translations
Send photos of every page, both sides, with stamps legible, on Telegram or WhatsApp; we reply in Russian within 15 minutes with a fixed quote. Passports and driving licenses need nothing further. For other documents the notary must see the apostilled original, which you bring to Agmashenebeli 117 near Marjanishvili Metro when the translation is ready, or courier to us from Batumi, Kutaisi or elsewhere. Delivery is by scan the moment the notary signs, by collection at the office, by courier in Tbilisi the same day, or by courier to any Georgian city the next day. Most personal documents are finished within the same afternoon, and a complete residence permit set within a business day.
