Tajik Personal Documents - Translated and Notarized for Georgian Universities, Residence Permits and Tajik Authorities

The admission file, the annual residence permit, the family reunification file, the marriage at the House of Justice and the ZAGS registration back home are all built from a handful of personal documents issued in Tajikistan across two scripts, decades of changing forms and two rounds of name reform. We translate them precisely, from a photo where the law allows, and notarize in 1-2 hours.

Passport, identity documents and driving license

Tajik biometric passports for foreign travel are translated into Georgian for university enrollment, residence permits, bank accounts, lease agreements, marriage at the House of Justice, company registration and property purchases. Because these are standardized documents, we translate and notarize them from a clear photo, without the original, and courier the notarized translation anywhere in Georgia. Tajik driving licenses are translated for the Service Agency and for rental and insurance companies. Transliteration of your name into Georgian is fixed at the first translation and kept on file so every subsequent document matches, anchored to the passport's Latin spelling; the patronymic or the Persian-style name form is preserved as written, and where a student's attestat or birth certificate shows an older Russian-form surname (-ов, -ова, -евич) that the passport now gives in the Persian form (-зода, -пур, -ӣ, or the bare stem), we note the relationship, since Georgian offices compare every document to the passport.

The attestat and school transcript

The Tajik secondary school certificate (аттестат, or the шаҳодатнома дар бораи маълумоти миёнаи умумӣ) with its transcript of grades is the document every Tajik student needs for admission and for the National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement's recognition of the school certificate for enrollment; it is issued in Tajik, sometimes bilingual with Russian, and must be apostilled by the Ministry of Education and Science before the notarized Georgian translation is submitted. We translate the certificate and the transcript field by field, with the Tajik five-point grading scale explained in a note, subject names rendered as Georgian schools name the same subjects, and the year of completion and the school's full name reproduced exactly as the recognition officers check them. Transfer students bring Tajik university transcripts and academic certificates, which we translate in the same way for credit recognition.

Birth, marriage and death certificates across two scripts

Tajik civil status certificates are issued by ZAGS offices, and their form depends on their date: Soviet-era certificates in Russian, sometimes with Tajik, 1990s certificates in Tajik and Russian, and current certificates in Cyrillic Tajik, often bilingual. Georgian authorities accept any of these, apostilled by the Ministry of Justice, translated and notarized here, for family residence permits, marriage registration, inheritance and divorce; students' birth certificates are asked for by some universities and by the Public Service Development Agency for minors. We translate directly from whichever language the document uses, from both columns of a bilingual certificate, and mirror the original field by field, including the ZAGS office, the record number and the stamps. In the other direction, Georgian birth certificates of children born to Tajik students and workers in Georgia, and Georgian marriage certificates, are translated into Tajik or Russian and apostilled for ZAGS registration in Tajikistan and for the child's Tajik passport.

Certificate of no criminal record, form 086 and military documents

Georgian temporary residence permits require a criminal record check from the applicant's country. For Tajik citizens that is the certificate of no criminal record from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Tajikistan, obtained in person or through a relative, apostilled and translated here in 1-2 hours; it is accepted for a limited period, so students should obtain it shortly before departure. The medical certificate - form 086 or its Tajik equivalent, with the fluorography and vaccination records Georgian universities and the migration authorities ask for - is translated with medical terminology by our medical team. Tajik military documents - the military ID, the registration certificate and the deferment certificates issued to students studying abroad, which Tajik military registration offices require students to maintain - are translated in both directions. Georgians going to Tajikistan need the Georgian conviction certificate apostilled and translated into Tajik or Russian.

Parental consents, sponsor letters and proof of means

Students under eighteen arrive with a notarized parental consent to study and live abroad, issued by a Tajik notary and apostilled, which universities and the Public Service Development Agency require translated; parents of older students sign sponsor declarations and financial guarantees, either in Tajikistan or at our notary in Tbilisi with an interpreter, in a bilingual form we have refined over many student files. Proof of means for residence permits comes from Tajik bank statements and sponsor letters, which we translate into Georgian in the layout the Public Service Development Agency recognizes, and from Georgian bank statements for students with local accounts. Georgian border police require a notarized consent from the non-travelling parent when a minor leaves Georgia with one parent, and Tajikistan applies comparable rules; we draft bilingual consents and translate consents issued in Tajikistan.

Marriage, family documents and how to order

Tajik citizens marrying in Georgia present a certificate of marital status, apostilled and translated, and Tajik-Georgian couples and Tajik couples who marry at the House of Justice then apostille and translate the Georgian certificate for ZAGS registration in Tajikistan; Georgians marrying in Tajikistan go through ZAGS with the Georgian birth certificate and marital status certificate apostilled and translated, and should expect the Tajik procedure for marriage with foreigners, which includes a medical examination and, under Tajik law, conditions on the foreign spouse's residence, to take time. Family residence permits for spouses, children and parents use marriage and birth certificates as described above.

To order, send photos of every page, both sides, stamps legible, on WhatsApp or Telegram; the quote arrives within 15 minutes, and we tell you immediately if an apostille is missing or a name differs from the passport. Passports and licenses need nothing more. For other documents bring the apostilled original to Agmashenebeli 117 when the translation is ready, or courier it from Kutaisi, Batumi or elsewhere. Delivery is by scan the moment the notary signs, by collection, by same-day courier in Tbilisi or by courier to any city; most personal documents are finished within the same afternoon.

Tajik translation - frequently asked questions

What should a Tajik student have apostilled before leaving for Georgia?+
The attestat with transcript (Ministry of Education and Science), the birth certificate (Ministry of Justice), the certificate of no criminal record (obtained last, because of its validity window) and, for minors, the parental consent. We translate them on arrival in 1-2 hours each.
Do you need my original passport?+
No. A clear photo of the data page is enough for a notarized passport translation, and the same applies to driving licenses.
My birth certificate says Рахимов and my passport says Раҳимзода. Will Georgian offices accept it?+
Yes, with a translator's note explaining Tajikistan's name reforms, which Georgian offices see often. If an office insists, a certificate confirming identity of names from Tajikistan resolves it, and we tell you before you submit.
Can my parents sign a sponsor declaration in Tbilisi?+
Yes. At our notary, with an interpreter recorded in the act, in a bilingual Georgian-Tajik form the Public Service Development Agency accepts.
