Turkmen Translation of Diplomas, Transcripts and Qualifications - Georgian Degrees Recognized in Turkmenistan and Turkmen Certificates in Georgia
Every Turkmen graduate of a Georgian university takes a diploma home that the Ministry of Education must recognize before it counts for employment, and every Turkmen applicant arrives with an attestat that Georgia must recognize before enrollment. We translate academic documents in the format each ministry requires, and we handle the medical graduates' longer route.

Recognition of Georgian diplomas by the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan
A Georgian degree used in Turkmenistan for employment, for state service, for further study or for professional licensing goes through the recognition (nostrification) procedure of the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan, which examines whether the Georgian university is accredited, whether the program's duration and content correspond to Turkmen standards, and whether the graduate's study was full-time and in person; the ministry has tightened its requirements in recent years, and graduates of programs it considers too short, too remote or from institutions it does not recognize can be refused. The application requires the diploma and Diploma Supplement, the transcript with hours, and for some cases the curriculum, all legalized through the Georgian MFA and the Turkmen embassy in Tbilisi with notarized translations into Turkmen (Russian is accepted by some officers but Turkmen is safer), plus the attestat and the applicant's Turkmen documents. We translate the Georgian packet in the ministry's format, with hours and credits shown as its officers expect, subject names rendered in the Turkmen education vocabulary, and the university's accreditation documents translated where the graduate's advisor recommends it; we batch graduates' packets each summer for the embassy step.
Medical, dental and pharmacy graduates: the Ministry of Health route
Medicine is the largest Turkmen program in Georgia, and Turkmen graduates of Georgian medical, dental and pharmacy faculties face a longer route home: recognition of the diploma by the Ministry of Education, then the Ministry of Health's procedures for admitting foreign-trained doctors to internship, residency and practice, which look at the curriculum in detail, at clinical hours and at the internship or residency completed in Georgia. The document set is correspondingly larger: the diploma and supplement, the full transcript with clinical hours, the curriculum of the program, the internship or residency certificate, the Georgian medical license or state certification exam result where the graduate has one, and letters from the faculty confirming the mode of study. We translate these with our medical translators, who are physicians, so that clinical subjects are rendered in the terminology Turkmen medical faculties use, and we keep a graduate's file consistent across the years the route can take.
Turkmen attestats and diplomas in Georgia: admission, transfer and recognition
For admission, the Turkmen attestat with transcript is legalized through the Turkmen MFA and the Georgian embassy in Ashgabat, translated into Georgian and notarized here, and submitted to the university and, through it, to the National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement for recognition of the school certificate, which is a condition of enrollment; the Center checks the certificate's authenticity and the years of schooling. Transfer students from Turkmen universities and from third countries bring diplomas, transcripts and academic certificates for credit recognition, and graduates of Turkmen universities who want a Georgian master's or doctoral program, or a Georgian work permit as a specialist, bring their Turkmen diploma (bakalawr, hünärmen or magistr) for recognition. We translate all of these directly from Turkmen or Russian, with the Turkmen grading scale and degree titles explained in a note, and we know which documents the Center and each university's international office expect.
Curricula, hours and the documents ministries actually check
Both ministries read beyond the diploma. The Turkmen Ministry of Education looks at total hours, at the ratio of lectures to practice, at whether the program was four, five or six years, and at whether study was in person; Georgian universities issue the Diploma Supplement in English with ECTS credits, and Turkmen officers want hours, so we add the hours where the university provides them and translate the curriculum (nastavny plan, okuw meýilnamasy) when the graduate's advisor recommends it. The Georgian Center looks at years of schooling and the authenticity of the attestat. We prepare the translations so that the checking officer finds what they look for without asking for more, and we advise graduates on which supplementary letters from their faculty tend to be requested.
Language certificates, student letters and vocational qualifications
Georgian universities' certificates of Georgian and English language proficiency, preparatory program certificates and enrollment letters (student status letters) are translated into Turkmen or Russian for Turkmen authorities, the military registration offices that track students' deferments, and families; Turkmen certificates of Russian or English proficiency are translated into Georgian for admission. Turkmen vocational and technical school diplomas, and the professional certificates of Turkmen workers in Georgian transit and construction companies, are translated for employers and work permits; Georgian vocational certificates are translated for Georgians working on Turkmen projects.
Motivation letters, recommendations, research documents and timing
Turkmen applicants to Georgian master's and doctoral programs ask us to translate or edit motivation letters and CVs in Georgian or English, and to translate recommendation letters from Turkmen professors while preserving the signature block; doctoral candidates need research proposals, thesis abstracts and publication lists translated, and Turkmen and Georgian researchers collaborating on Caspian, energy and transit topics use our editors for articles. Native Turkmen, Russian and English editors with academic backgrounds handle these texts.
On timing: Georgian admission runs through the summer, the Center's recognition of attestats takes weeks and is best started before arrival, the Georgian diploma chain for Turkmenistan takes two to three weeks, the Ministry of Education's recognition months, and the Ministry of Health's route for medical graduates longer. Start the legalization of the diploma the week of graduation, since the legalized diploma is reusable across ministries and employers, and ask for a digital certified translation first so that an employer or a further-study application can proceed while the paper chain runs.
