Belarusian and Russian Interpreting in Tbilisi and Localization for the Belarusian Community in Georgia
Most Belarusians in Georgia work in Russian, and Georgian offices, banks and notaries often do not; a good interpreter at the notary, the migration office, the bank or the school saves a second visit. And Georgian businesses that serve this community - developers, schools, clinics, coworkings, agencies - reach it in Russian and, when they want to stand out, in Belarusian. We provide both.

Interpreter at the notary and the House of Justice
Georgian law requires an interpreter for any party to a notarial act who does not speak Georgian, and the notary records the interpreter in the deed. Belarusian founders of Georgian companies (the single most common act), buyers of apartments in Tbilisi and Batumi, couples signing marriage contracts, parents signing consents for children's travel and schooling, and parties to powers of attorney, wills and loan agreements use our notary at Agmashenebeli 117 with the interpreter built into the appointment: you receive the bilingual Georgian-Russian draft in advance, the interpreter reads each clause with you at the signing, and the notary certifies the act in one sitting; Belarusian-language interpreting is available for clients who prefer it. We also interpret at the House of Justice for marriage registration, company registration and the registration of children's births, and at the Public Registry for property transactions.
Residence permits, banks, the Revenue Service and company setup
The Belarusian community's most frequent need for an interpreter is not commercial but administrative: the interview and document review at the Public Service Development Agency for a residence permit, the account-opening and compliance interview at a Georgian bank, which has become more searching for Belarusian clients, the registration of an individual entrepreneur or an LLC and the choice of tax status at the Revenue Service, the meeting with an accountant, and the dealings with the labor inspectorate and the pension agency that follow employing staff. We accompany clients to these appointments with interpreters who know the vocabulary of Georgian migration, tax and banking procedures in Russian, and for the many Belarusian IT companies that set up Georgian entities we interpret the founding process end to end, from the notary to the Revenue Service to the bank, and translate the documents at each step.
Schools, clinics and family matters
Belarusian families in Tbilisi and Batumi enroll children in Georgian public schools, Russian-language schools and international schools, and the enrollment meetings, parent-teacher conferences and the paperwork of transfers between schools often need an interpreter and translated records; Belarusian patients use Georgian clinics and hospitals, and an interpreter at the consultation, followed by translation of the records for a doctor at home or an insurer, is a frequent request; and family matters - lease negotiations, disputes with landlords and neighbors, utilities and telecom operators, the police, and the divorce and custody proceedings of couples whose lives are now in Georgia - need interpreting and translation with the appropriate register. We offer hourly accompaniment in Tbilisi and, by arrangement, in Batumi.
Business, conferences and the IT sector
Belarusian IT companies in Georgia negotiate with Georgian landlords, developers of office space, banks, law and accounting firms, universities and government agencies promoting the IT sector, and Belarusian entrepreneurs in hospitality, retail, education and services deal with Georgian suppliers, franchisors and regulators; we provide consecutive interpreters for these negotiations and simultaneous interpreting with booth equipment for the conferences, meetups and forums where the relocated tech community meets Georgian institutions, including Georgian-Russian-English configurations and remote interpreting through Zoom. Georgian companies hiring Belarusian developers, designers and managers use our interpreters for interviews and onboarding where the candidate's Georgian or English is not yet ready.
Localization for the Belarusian community: Russian, and Belarusian when it matters
Georgian businesses that serve the Belarusian community - residential developers and real estate agencies, private and international schools, clinics and dental practices, coworkings, relocation and legal services, banks' retail products, telecom operators and delivery apps - reach it in Russian, and their websites, listings, price lists, contracts and customer communications must read as if written by a native Russian speaker who knows the Georgian context, not as a translation. A Belarusian-language version is a deliberate choice: it signals respect for a community that increasingly values its language, and some Belarusian organizations, media and cultural projects in Georgia work in Belarusian by principle. We localize websites, listings, brochures, apps, contracts and customer communications into Russian and Belarusian with native editors, working directly in your CMS, in JSON and XLIFF files or in design files, adapting tone and terminology to the community's Georgian reality (residence permits, tax statuses, the banking situation) and testing the result on the live site.
Proofreading and booking
Belarusian companies and individuals in Georgia write Georgian and English for Georgian authorities, landlords, clients and partners, and Georgian businesses write Russian for Belarusian customers. Our native Georgian, Russian and Belarusian editors polish these texts and return tracked changes so your team learns from every edit; for companies producing content continuously we offer a monthly editing retainer, and for Belarusian IT companies we provide ongoing translation of HR, legal and administrative documents under a framework agreement.
To book an interpreter, send the date, place or meeting link, the subject, whether Russian or Belarusian is preferred and any documents to prepare from. Consecutive interpreting is billed hourly with a two-hour minimum on site in Tbilisi and no minimum beyond the first hour for remote sessions; Batumi work is billed by day with travel at cost; simultaneous work is billed by half-day or day with two interpreters alternating. Russian-speaking interpreters are available at short notice, often the same day; native Belarusian interpreters should be booked a few days ahead.
