Belarusian Personal Documents - Translated and Notarized for Georgia, and Georgian Documents for Belarus
The residence permit file, the marriage at the House of Justice, the school enrollment, the bank account and the child's birth registration are all built from a handful of personal documents, complicated for Belarusians by passports that cannot be renewed abroad. We translate them precisely, from a photo where the law allows, and notarize in 1-2 hours.

Passports, expired passports and identity documents
Belarusian passports - trilingual in Belarusian, Russian and English, with the Latin transliteration based on the Belarusian form of the name - are translated into Georgian for residence permits, company registration, property purchases, bank accounts, lease agreements, school enrollment and marriage at the House of Justice. Because they are standardized documents, we translate and notarize them from a clear photo, without the original, and courier the notarized translation anywhere in Georgia. Since Belarusian embassies stopped renewing passports abroad in 2023, many members of the community hold expired passports alongside valid Georgian residence permits, and we translate both together with a translator's note; which Georgian procedures accept this combination varies, and we advise from what we see across many files. The Belarusian ID card, where a client holds one, is translated too. Transliteration of your name into Georgian is fixed at the first translation and kept on file, anchored to the passport's Latin line, with the Russian form noted where a Georgian office compares against a Russian-language document, and the personal number is reproduced exactly.
ZAGS certificates of birth, marriage, divorce and death
Belarusian civil status certificates are issued by ZAGS offices in Russian (with Belarusian available on request) on standard forms, and Soviet-era certificates in Russian and Belarusian remain valid; Georgian authorities accept them apostilled by the Ministry of Justice, translated and notarized here, for marriage registration, family residence permits, inheritance and divorce proceedings, and Georgian schools and clinics ask for children's birth certificates. Divorce is evidenced by the ZAGS divorce certificate or the court's decision. Obtaining a fresh certificate from a Belarusian ZAGS from abroad is done through a relative, and where a certificate is needed in a name that has since changed we translate the chain of documents together. Every translation mirrors the original field by field.
Children born in Georgia to Belarusian parents
Belarusian families in Georgia have children here, and the child's documents run in both directions. The Georgian birth certificate is issued by the House of Justice, apostilled by the Public Service Development Agency and translated into Russian and notarized for Belarusian purposes - registration with a Belarusian ZAGS through a relative, the child's Belarusian citizenship and, when the family can travel to Belarus, the child's passport - and the parents' Belarusian marriage certificate and passports are translated into Georgian for the Georgian registration and for the child's Georgian residence permit. Because the child's Belarusian passport usually cannot be obtained in Georgia, families ask us which Georgian procedures accept the Georgian birth certificate and the parents' residence permits for the child, and we advise from experience. Georgian medical and vaccination records for the child are translated for Belarusian clinics when the family visits home.
Certificate of no criminal record and the Georgian conviction certificate
Georgian temporary residence permits require a criminal record check from the applicant's country. For Belarusian citizens that is the certificate of no criminal record (справка о наличии или отсутствии судимости) from the Information Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, applied for by the citizen in Belarus or by a relative with a notarized power of attorney (the embassy in Tbilisi can still certify a power of attorney for this purpose, and can in some cases forward the request itself), and apostilled by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs; we translate it into Georgian and notarize it in 1-2 hours on arrival. It is accepted for a limited period, so we advise starting it about a month before the application. Belarusians applying for Georgian permanent residence or citizenship, and some employers, need it again; Georgians dealing with Belarusian authorities need the Georgian conviction certificate apostilled and translated into Russian.
Employment records, diplomas, pension documents and proof of income
The трудовая книжка (employment record book), still kept in Belarus, and reference letters from Belarusian employers are translated for Georgian employers, for work-based residence permits and for the pension and social insurance questions that arise when a career is split between countries; Belarusian pension certificates and Social Protection Fund statements are translated for the Georgian pension agency and banks, and Georgian employment contracts and residence documents are translated into Russian for Belarusian tax and pension authorities. Residence permits, property purchases and Georgian mortgages require proof of income, and Georgian banks ask Belarusian clients for source-of-funds documentation; we translate statements from Belarusbank, Belagroprombank, Priorbank, Alfa-Bank Belarus and BSB into Georgian, and Georgian statements from TBC, Bank of Georgia and Liberty into Russian, along with employment contracts, income certificates, tax declarations and the contracts with foreign clients that remote workers present.
Marriage, child travel consents, and how to order
Belarusian citizens marrying in Georgia present a certificate of marital status - obtained from a Belarusian ZAGS through a relative, or a notarized declaration where the office accepts it - apostilled and translated into Georgian, with the passport; the House of Justice registers the marriage, and the Georgian certificate is then apostilled and translated into Russian for ZAGS registration in Belarus through a relative. Georgian border police require a notarized consent from the non-travelling parent when a minor leaves Georgia with one parent, and Belarus applies its own rules; we draft bilingual consents at our notary with an interpreter, which Georgian border police and airlines accept, and translate consents from Belarus. Divorce and custody proceedings of Belarusian couples in Georgian courts generate translated ZAGS certificates, agreements and decisions in both directions.
