Chinese Personal Documents - Translated and Notarized for Georgia and China

护照, 身份证 and 驾驶证

Chinese passports are translated into Georgian for residence permits, company registration, property purchases, bank accounts, lease agreements and marriage at the House of Justice, and the Chinese resident identity card (身份证) is sometimes requested alongside. Chinese civil status is not proved abroad by the underlying certificate but by a notarial certificate: the 出生公证书 (birth), 结婚公证书 (marriage, attesting the 结婚证), 离婚公证书 (divorce, attesting the 离婚证 or court judgment), 亲属关系公证书 (kinship, attesting the family relationships shown in the 户口本) and 婚姻状况公证书 or 未婚公证书 (marital status or unmarried status, for marriage abroad); each is a bound booklet with the notary's statement, a copy of the underlying document or a statement of fact, and often an English translation. Georgian authorities accept these, apostilled by the MFA or a provincial Foreign Affairs Office, translated into Georgian and notarized here, for marriage registration, family residence permits, inheritance and divorce proceedings. In the other direction, Georgian birth, marriage and death certificates go to Chinese civil affairs bureaus, exit-entry administrations, courts and universities, apostilled and translated into Chinese. Every translation mirrors the original page by page, including the notary's statement and the 公证书 number.

The 户口本 and proof of family and address

The household register (户口本, hukou) is the document Chinese families reach for to prove who is related to whom and where they are registered, and Georgian authorities encounter it in family residence permit files, school enrollments, inheritance matters and bank compliance checks. We translate it page by page - the household head page, each member's page with name, ID number, birth date, relationship to head, ethnicity, place of origin and registration history, and the changes pages - and notarize the translation, either from a notarial certificate (户口本公证书) where an apostille is needed or from the register itself for offices that accept it. Georgian residence certificates and Public Service Hall extracts are translated into Chinese for Chinese employers, banks and the exit-entry administration, which asks for proof of address.

无犯罪记录 in both directions

Georgian temporary residence permits require a criminal record check from the applicant's country. For Chinese citizens that is the no criminal record notarial certificate (无犯罪记录公证书), based on a certificate from the local public security bureau (派出所 or 公安局), issued by a 公证处 and apostilled by the FAO; obtaining it from abroad requires a relative or agent with a power of attorney, which we can draft and notarize here with the Chinese embassy's authentication.
