Persian Legal and Business Translation for Iranian Companies, Traders and Investors in Georgia

Iranian traders moving goods through Poti, investors buying Batumi apartments, restaurateurs and IT founders in Tbilisi, and families settling property and inheritance across the border - all run on documents in two scripts and two calendars. We keep them legally aligned.

Registering a Georgian company with Iranian founders

Iranian citizens register Georgian LLCs and individual entrepreneur status for trading, transit and logistics, restaurants, real estate, IT services and consulting. Registration at the House of Justice needs a notarized Georgian translation of the founder's passport, and for an LLC the charter and founding decision, which we draft bilingually so the founder signs a Persian text that matches the Georgian one. If the founder is an Iranian company, its registration is evidenced by the rouznameh-ye rasmi (official gazette) entries, the asasnameh (charter) and the board resolution, all confirmed by the Companies Registration Office, officially translated and legalized through the chain before we translate them here; a vekalatnameh from an Iranian notary to a Georgian representative goes through the same chain. Registration itself is quick; the difficulty for Iranian founders is the bank account, on which we advise realistically. Once the Georgian company exists, its Public Registry extract and charter are translated into Persian and legalized for the founder's records in Iran.

Trade, transit and customs documents

Iranian trucks and containers pass through Georgia to Turkey, Europe and the Black Sea, and Iranian traders import and export through Poti and Batumi, generating customs paperwork in volume: commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, TIR carnets and CMR consignment notes, transit declarations, phytosanitary and veterinary certificates, conformity certificates and insurance documents, translated between Persian, Georgian, English and Turkish for the Revenue Service customs department, freight forwarders and partners. We run these files with translators who know the customs vocabulary on both sides, turn them around within hours, and offer bulk rates for regular traders. Georgian exporters of wine, mineral water, nuts and agricultural products to Iran, and Iranian exporters of construction materials, food, carpets and petrochemical products to Georgia, use the same desk for contracts, labels and certificates.

Contracts between Iranian and Georgian parties

Georgian law permits contracts in any language, but the Georgian version is what a registry or court reads, so cross-border contracts are drafted bilingually, often with English as a third column. We translate sale and purchase agreements for property and equipment, lease agreements for apartments, shops and warehouses, supply and distribution agreements, carriage and forwarding agreements, service agreements, employment contracts, loan agreements between relatives, and shareholder agreements. The translator is a legal specialist who keeps defined terms and numbering consistent across languages and flags where an Iranian legal concept - the distinction between different forms of vekalat, the mahriyeh in marriage contracts, Islamic finance terms in loan agreements - needs a lawyer's decision on the Georgian equivalent rather than a translator's guess.

Property, powers of attorney and inheritance

Iranian buyers of Georgian property generate a bilingual file: the sale agreement, the Public Registry extract, the cadastral plan, the developer's documents and, for investment residence permits, the valuation report and proof of funds. We translate these into Persian for the buyer's records and Iranian courts or heirs, and translate the buyer's documents into Georgian for the notary and registry. Powers of attorney are the most frequent single document: an Iranian in Tehran authorizing a relative in Tbilisi to buy, sell or manage property, or an Iranian in Tbilisi authorizing someone in Iran to handle affairs there, each legalized through the appropriate chain. Inheritance cases involving Georgian property and Iranian heirs, or Iranian property and heirs in Georgia, require death certificates, shenasnameh entries proving kinship, Iranian inheritance certificates (gavahi-ye hasr-e verasat) and Georgian notarial certificates, translated and legalized for the notary or court on the other side.

Court decisions and enforcement

Disputes involving Iranian parties in Georgian courts - commercial disputes over supply and transit, debt recovery, property disputes, divorce and custody cases, and inheritance - require notarized Georgian translations of contracts, correspondence, bank records and Iranian judgments, which must be legalized through the chain before the court admits them. Georgian judgments are translated into Persian, notarized, certified by the Georgian MFA and legalized by the Iranian embassy for recognition in Iran, where enforcement of foreign judgments follows its own procedure. Arbitration clauses referring to the Georgian International Arbitration Centre or Iranian arbitration institutions produce bilingual submissions and awards that we translate under deadline. All litigation files are handled under NDA with restricted access.

Financial statements, tax documents, confidentiality and how projects run

Georgian banks' compliance departments request extensive translated documents from Iranian business clients, and the Revenue Service requires translated foreign documents for tax matters. We translate financial statements under Iranian accounting standards and IFRS, audit opinions, tax records from the Iranian National Tax Administration, and shareholder resolutions, with accountants on the team reconciling every figure and stating rial and toman amounts exactly as the source does. Iranian companies with Georgian subsidiaries need the Georgian tax certificates and financial statements translated into Persian and legalized.

Every translator, editor and courier is bound by a non-disclosure agreement, files are encrypted and access is limited to the assigned team. Corporate clients get a glossary and translation memory from their first project, so terms stay consistent and repeated text is not billed twice. A project runs in a fixed pattern: fixed quote within the hour, a legal or financial specialist plus a reviewer, questions returned in a single batch, delivery in the original format, and notarization and legalization scheduled in parallel with translation. Framework agreements with monthly invoicing and priority notary slots are available for trading and transit companies, law firms and accounting practices serving Iranian clients.

Persian translation - frequently asked questions

Can I register a Georgian company with a vekalatnameh issued in Iran?+
Yes. The power of attorney must be issued by an Iranian notary, officially translated, stamped by the Ministry of Justice and MFA and legalized by the Georgian Embassy in Tehran; we then translate and notarize it in Tbilisi, and your representative registers the company.
How fast can you translate customs documents for a truck at the border?+
Our logistics desk turns invoices, CMRs and certificates around within hours during working hours, with scans sent immediately and notarized originals to follow if required.
Will translating my documents get me a Georgian bank account?+
We translate accurately and quickly, but bank policy toward Iranian clients varies and changes. Confirm the bank's current position before ordering a large compliance set; we advise honestly on what we have seen recently.
Do you have bulk rates for regular traders?+
Yes. Framework agreements with per-document rates, monthly invoicing and a dedicated manager are available for trading and transit companies.
