Recognition of Ukrainian diplomas in Georgia

A degree from a Ukrainian university used in Georgia for employment, for a work-based residence permit, for admission to a Georgian master's or Ph.D. program, or for a regulated profession such as medicine, pharmacy or teaching, goes through recognition at the National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement. The center requires the diploma and the додаток до диплома with notarized Georgian translations, and in practice usually asks for an apostille from the Ukrainian Ministry of Education and Science despite the legal assistance treaty. Ukrainian diplomas issued since 2015 are bilingual Ukrainian-English, which simplifies the work; the додаток matters most, because every course, its credits and its grade must be translated consistently and completely.
