Foreign passports, ID-cards and driving licenses

The passport is the first document every Ukrainian newcomer needs translated: for the residence permit, for registering as an individual entrepreneur, for opening a bank account, for a lease, for school enrollment and for marriage. We translate and notarize the Ukrainian foreign passport, the ID-card (internal passport in card form, with its витяг про місце проживання where relevant) and older booklet internal passports from a clear photo or a Diia export, without the original, and courier the notarized translation to you - the only fully online notarized translation in Tbilisi. Driving licenses, including Diia versions, are translated for the Service Agency when exchanging a license or presenting it after an accident, and for car rental and insurance companies. Transliteration follows the Latin form printed in your passport, converted to Georgian by the official rules and kept on file so every document matches.

Довідка про несудимість

Required for every Georgian temporary residence permit and for many employment contracts. The certificate is issued by the МВС and is available through Diia as a PDF with QR verification, through the Ukrainian Embassy in Tbilisi, or on paper from Ukraine. Under the treaty it does not normally need an apostille for Georgian purposes. Validity is short and Georgian practice treats a certificate older than a few months with suspicion, so obtain it as close to the application date as possible and send us the PDF immediately so the translation is ready the same day. We translate the certificate in full, including the verification block, and notarize it; if the Public Service Hall officer asks for a paper version, which happens occasionally, we tell you before you submit.

Birth, marriage, divorce and death certificates from ДРАЦС

ДРАЦС certificates are needed in Georgia for family residence permits, for registering a marriage at the House of Justice, for adding a child to a permit, for school enrollment, for inheritance and for divorce proceedings. Certificates issued since the mid-1990s are in Ukrainian; older ones are bilingual Ukrainian-Russian or Soviet-era Russian, and we translate from whichever language is used, noting the issuing republic for Georgian authorities when it matters. Children's birth certificates from Diia are accepted by schools and most offices. In the other direction, Georgian certificates from the Public Service Development Agency go to Ukrainian ДРАЦС offices, the consulate and the Pension Fund, translated into Ukrainian and notarized, under the treaty or with an apostille as the office requires. Every translation reproduces the certificate field by field, including stamps and reverse-side notes.

Marital status, residence certificates and child travel consents

To marry in Georgia, a Ukrainian citizen presents a certificate that there is no impediment to marriage, obtained from the Ukrainian Embassy in Tbilisi or from a ДРАЦС office in Ukraine, translated and notarized here; divorced applicants add the divorce certificate or court decision. Certificates of residence and registration (довідка про реєстрацію місця проживання, or the Diia витяг) are requested by Georgian banks and by the Revenue Service for tax residency, and Georgian residence certificates are translated into Ukrainian for Ukrainian tax and social purposes.

Child travel consents are a daily order: a notarized consent from the parent staying behind when a child leaves Georgia with one parent, or a consent issued in Ukraine for a child traveling to Georgia with grandparents or another relative, which has been especially common since 2022. We draft bilingual consents at our notary with an interpreter and translate foreign consents for use at Georgian borders and schools.

Bank statements, employment documents and source of funds

Georgian banks and the Public Service Development Agency want proof of income and, for banks, an explanation of where money comes from. We translate Ukrainian bank statements from PrivatBank, Monobank, Oschadbank, Raiffeisen Bank Ukraine and others, employment contracts, income statements, tax declarations, ФОП registration extracts and income records for Ukrainian individual entrepreneurs, pension certificates, property sale agreements, and freelance platform statements. Figures are checked twice, and for long statements we translate the header, totals and relevant transactions rather than every line when the receiving bank permits. Turnaround is same day, because accounts and applications are usually waiting on these documents.

How to send documents and receive the notarized translations

Send photos of every page, both sides, with stamps legible, or the Diia PDF, on Telegram, Viber or WhatsApp; we reply in Ukrainian within 15 minutes with a fixed quote. Passports and driving licenses need nothing further. For other documents the notary must see the original, which you bring to Agmashenebeli 117 near Marjanishvili Metro when the translation is ready, or courier to us from Batumi, Kutaisi or elsewhere; for Diia documents the notary works from the verified PDF. Delivery is by scan the moment the notary signs, by collection at the office, by courier in Tbilisi the same day, or by courier to any Georgian city the next day. Most personal documents are finished within the same afternoon, and a complete residence permit set within a business day.

Ukrainian translation - frequently asked questions

Do you need my original passport?+
No. A clear photo of the data page or a Diia export is enough for a notarized passport translation. The same applies to driving licenses and ID-cards.
Is a Diia birth certificate enough for school enrollment?+
Yes, in current practice. We translate the Diia PDF including the verification data and notarize the translation, and schools accept it.
Can you translate a Soviet-era or Russian-language Ukrainian certificate?+
Yes. We translate from Russian or bilingual originals with their original terminology and note the issuing republic where relevant for Georgian authorities.
How fast is a full residence permit document set?+
A set of four to six documents is normally translated and notarized the same day once the originals or Diia files are with us.
