Arabic Academic Documents for Georgian Universities, and Georgian Degrees for the Arab World
Arab students are the largest international group at Georgian medical faculties. We translate their documents for admission, keep their records consistent through years of study, and prepare their Georgian degrees for equivalency at home - where each country's ministry and medical council has its own rules.

Admission to Georgian universities: secondary certificates by country
Admission to a bachelor's program at a Georgian university - most often English-language medicine, dentistry, pharmacy or nursing - requires the secondary school certificate with grades: the Egyptian thanawiya amma, the Jordanian and Palestinian tawjihi, the Iraqi sixth preparatory certificate, the Syrian baccalaureate, the Saudi, Emirati, Kuwaiti, Qatari, Bahraini and Omani secondary certificates, the Moroccan and Tunisian baccalauréat, and the Lebanese baccalauréat, each in its own format and often with an English column. Master's admission requires the university degree and transcript. Universities accept certified translations with our stamp for the initial application and require notarized translations of apostilled or legalized originals for enrollment and for the Ministry of Education's recognition of prior education; Egyptian and Jordanian certificates need their own ministry attestation before the foreign ministry step. We translate the full packet within one business day and keep the student's transliteration and course glossary on file for their whole degree.
Transfers, credit recognition and students changing universities
Arab students transferring into a Georgian program from a university at home, from Ukraine, Russia or Turkey, or from another Georgian university, need their transcripts translated course by course so the Georgian faculty can map credits; the 2022 wave of transfers from Ukrainian medical faculties produced many such files. Arab medical curricula, particularly the Egyptian and Iraqi ones, follow structures that differ from Georgian programs, and our medical translators, who are physicians, map course names to the terminology Georgian faculties use rather than translating literally. Student status letters from Georgian universities are translated into Arabic and legalized for families, sponsors, home ministries, military service deferral and cultural attachés, which in the Gulf supervise scholarship students.
Georgian medical and dental degrees for equivalency at home
The most important education file in this pair runs from Georgia to the Arab world, and each country handles it differently. Egypt's Supreme Council of Universities evaluates foreign medical degrees and the Egyptian Medical Syndicate licenses; Iraq's Ministry of Higher Education issues equivalency (mu'adala) and the Iraqi Medical Association licenses; Jordan's Ministry of Higher Education and Jordan Medical Council run equivalency and a licensing exam; Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Education evaluates and the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties classifies and examines; the UAE's Ministry of Education and the health authorities (DHA, DOH, MOHAP) each have requirements; Morocco and Tunisia require équivalence through their ministries. All require the diploma, the supplement with hours and credits, the transcript, and proof of clinical training, translated into Arabic, notarized, and apostilled or legalized. We prepare the packet during the final semester in the form each ministry lists, including the university's accreditation documents and program descriptions that ministries increasingly request, and we keep the student's transliteration from admission so the Georgian and Arabic records match.
Arab degrees for recognition and employment in Georgia
An Arab degree used in Georgia - for a work permit, for a teaching, medical or engineering position, for admission to a Georgian master's or doctoral program, or for recognition at the National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement - must be attested at home, apostilled or legalized, and translated into Georgian and notarized in Tbilisi. We translate the degree certificate, the transcript and, when recognition is sought, course descriptions. Arab medical graduates should expect the recognition body to ask for the internship certificate and the home medical council's license; engineers for the engineers' syndicate membership. Grading systems - percentages, GPAs on 4 or 5, letter grades - are kept exactly as printed with a translator's note where the receiving institution asks.
School certificates, language certificates and scholarship documents
Arab families settling in Georgia enroll children in international schools or Georgian public schools with the child's school records, birth certificate and vaccination records translated; schools generally accept certified translations for placement. Language certificates - IELTS and TOEFL for English-language programs, Georgian language certificates for Georgian-language programs - are translated as required. Gulf scholarship students need enrollment confirmations, transcripts and attendance records translated into Arabic each semester for their cultural attaché or scholarship authority, and we offer universities and students a per-semester package for these recurring documents.
Motivation letters, recommendations, CVs and timing
Arab applicants to Georgian programs ask us to translate or edit motivation letters and CVs in English, and to translate recommendation letters from Arab teachers and professors while preserving the signature block; graduates applying onward to Europe, the UK or North America use the same service. Doctoral candidates need thesis abstracts and publication lists translated. Native English and Arabic editors with academic backgrounds handle these texts.
On timing: the translation is the fast part, usually one business day for a full packet. The slow parts are the home attestations and the apostille or legalization chain, which together can take from one week for a Saudi apostille to five weeks for an Iraqi or Egyptian chain. For admission, start the attestation as soon as the university's conditional offer arrives, and send us scans so the translation is ready when the legalized originals reach Tbilisi. For graduation, start the Georgian-side apostille or legalization in the final semester. Keep the legalized diploma safe, because it is reusable for every future step.
