🎓 Educational documents - certified translation in Tbilisi
Educational Document Translation - For Admission, Scholarships, Recognition and Work Visas
A university abroad, a scholarship committee, a recognition body like ENIC-NARIC or WES, an immigration officer assessing a skilled worker, and Georgia's own National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement all read the same handful of academic documents, and each reads them differently. We translate diplomas, transcripts, school certificates, doctoral degrees, syllabi, letters and CVs into and from 49 languages, notarize and apostille them, and format each one the way its reader expects.

The nine academic documents, and which page explains each
Academic files are assembled from a predictable set, and each document has its own page here because each is checked for different things:
- Diplomas and diploma supplements - the degree certificate and the Bologna supplement, the core of every recognition and admission file, apostilled through the education verification route.
- School certificates and attestations - the secondary school leaving certificate with its grades, for undergraduate admission and school enrollment abroad and in Georgia.
- Academic transcripts and grade reports - course-by-course records with credits, hours and grades, the document recognition bodies read most closely.
- Student status letters - enrollment certificates for visas, residence permits, banks, deferments and family benefits.
- Ph.D. and doctoral degrees - doctoral diplomas, the Soviet-era candidate and doctor of sciences degrees, habilitations and the documents behind them.
- Course and language certificates - IELTS, TOEFL, Goethe, DELE, TestDaF, HSK and the professional and vocational certificates employers and licensing bodies ask for.
- Syllabi and course descriptions - the curriculum with hours, the document that decides professional recognition for doctors, engineers and teachers.
- Recommendation and motivation letters - translated with the signature block intact, or written and edited to the register each admissions culture expects.
- CVs, resumes and diploma recognition files - the CV in the destination's format, and the complete packet for ENIC-NARIC, WES, ZAB, CIMEA, Nuffic and the Georgian recognition center.
Who reads academic translations, and what each reader checks
An admissions office checks that the diploma and transcript match the program's entry requirements and that the grades are on a scale it can interpret, and accepts a certified translation at the application stage with apostilled originals at enrollment. A recognition body - ENIC-NARIC centers in Europe, WES and ECE in North America, Germany's ZAB, Italy's CIMEA, the Netherlands' Nuffic, Kazakhstan's ENIC, Georgia's National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement - checks the institution's accreditation, the program's level, duration, credits and hours and the mode of study, verifies the diploma with the issuing university, and usually requires sworn, authorized or notarized translations of apostilled documents. A professional licensing body - a medical council, an engineering chamber, a teachers' council - reads the curriculum subject by subject and hour by hour and requires the strictest certification. An immigration officer assessing a skilled worker or a student checks the degree against the visa category's requirements and reads whatever the recognition body has decided. A scholarship committee reads grades, letters and the CV together and cares about register and tone as much as accuracy. Each page on this site tells you what the reader of that document checks.
Georgian academic documents abroad: the apostille route that takes longest
Georgian diplomas, supplements, transcripts and school certificates are apostilled through the education verification route: the document is first verified by the National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement, which confirms that the institution and the document are genuine, and then apostilled, a process that takes up to five business days and is the slowest apostille of any personal document. Because the apostilled diploma is reusable across every university, recognition body and employer that will ever ask for it, we advise starting it the week of graduation, and because a digital certified translation is enough for most application portals, we deliver that first so that applications proceed while the paper chain runs. Translations are notarized, and where a receiving country insists on its own sworn or authorized translators - Germany, Italy, Spain, Poland, Brazil, Finland and Norway among them - we arrange re-certification through partner translators abroad using our text, which is faster and cheaper than a second translation.
Foreign academic documents in Georgia: recognition, enrollment and work permits
Foreign diplomas and school certificates used in Georgia - for admission to Georgian universities, for transfer with credit recognition, for a work permit as a specialist, for a teaching, medical or engineering position, or for formal recognition at the National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement - must be apostilled or legalized in the issuing country and translated into Georgian by a notarized translation. The Center recognizes foreign school certificates as a condition of enrollment for the thousands of international students who come to Georgian medical, dental, business and engineering programs, checking years of schooling and authenticity, and recognizes foreign higher education qualifications for professional and academic purposes, checking level, duration and content. We translate the documents of students from India, Nigeria, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Turkey, Iran, China, Thailand, Malaysia and dozens of other countries every week, know which documents the Center and each university's international office expect, and keep the student's name consistent from the passport through every academic document, which is the most common reason a file is queried.
Pricing, timing and how to order
Academic documents are priced at fixed rates for standard documents - a diploma, a school certificate, a student status letter, a language certificate - and per page at the standard tariff for transcripts, supplements, syllabi and letters, with a modest supplement for rare languages; notarization is charged per act, the apostille at the state fee plus handling, and re-certification abroad at the partner's rate. A diploma with its supplement or transcript is translated in one business day; a full admission or recognition packet in one to three business days; a curriculum of several hundred pages as a team on an agreed schedule. Certified translations are delivered as signed PDFs for portals within the same timeframe.
To order, send photos or PDFs of every page on WhatsApp or Telegram and tell us the university, recognition body or employer and the country; the quote arrives within 15 minutes with the certification level, the sequence and the deadline we recommend. Bring the originals to Agmashenebeli 117, near Marjanishvili Metro, when the translation is ready, or courier them from any city; graduates abroad have a relative bring them, and we handle the apostille and ship by DHL. Every translation stays in your file, so a document requested years later matches the earlier ones.
