Passports, 주민등록증 and 운전면허증
The passport is the first document every Korean citizen in Georgia needs translated: for the residence permit, for company registration, for property purchase, for a bank account, for a lease and for marriage. We translate and notarize the Korean passport and the 주민등록증 (resident registration card) from a clear photo, without the original and without apostille, and courier the notarized translation to you - the only fully online notarized translation in Tbilisi. Korean 운전면허증 are translated for the Service Agency, for rental and insurance companies and for employers; Korean licenses show the license class system, which we annotate for Georgian inspectors. The Georgian spelling of your name is fixed at the first translation, following the passport romanization, and kept on file with the Hangul original; the 주민등록번호 is reproduced exactly.
Family relation certificates: which one, which version
Korean civil status lives in the family relation registry, and Georgian offices asking for a birth, marriage or family certificate need the right one in the right version. The 기본증명서 (상세) serves as a birth certificate and shows name changes and nationality; the 가족관계증명서 shows parents, spouse and children and serves for family residence permits and parentage; the 혼인관계증명서 (상세) shows all marriages and divorces and serves for marriage at the House of Justice and for divorce proceedings; the 주민등록등본 shows the registered household and address. All are issued instantly through the government's online services with electronic apostille, or on paper at a 주민센터 and apostilled by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. We tell you which to obtain, translate the registry layout field by field, and reproduce the 등록기준지 and identifiers so a Georgian registrar can follow the document. In the other direction, Georgian certificates for Korean-Georgian children and marriages are translated into Korean and apostilled for the 주민센터 and the embassy.
범죄경력회보서: the criminal record certificate
Required for every Georgian temporary residence permit and for many employment contracts. The 범죄경력회보서 is issued by the Korean National Police Agency, at a police station or through the online 경찰민원포털, for the purpose of overseas use (해외 이주 및 체류용), and is apostilled by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, electronically where issued online. Validity is short and Georgian practice treats a certificate older than a few months with suspicion, so obtain it close to the application date and send us the PDF immediately so the translation is ready the same day. We translate the certificate in full, including the apostille or e-apostille verification block, and notarize it. Georgians applying for Korean visas need their Georgian conviction certificate from the Ministry of Internal Affairs apostilled and translated into Korean or English, and we treat it as express work.
Marriage between Korean and Georgian citizens
To marry in Georgia, a Korean citizen presents the 혼인관계증명서 (상세) showing no current marriage and the 기본증명서, apostilled, translated and notarized here; divorced applicants' divorces appear on the same certificate. After the marriage, the Georgian certificate is apostilled and translated into Korean for reporting to the 주민센터 or the Korean Embassy within three months, which Korean law requires, and the F-6 visa file for the Georgian spouse follows. A Georgian marrying in Korea presents the Georgian birth certificate and marital status certificate, apostilled and translated into Korean with 번역공증, to the 구청 or 시청. Children need Georgian birth certificates apostilled and translated for the Korean family registry, or Korean 기본증명서 apostilled and translated for Georgian citizenship. We prepare both halves of these files as one order with identical transliteration.
Child travel consents, 주민등록등본 and proof of address
Georgian border police require a notarized consent from the non-travelling parent when a minor leaves Georgia with one parent, and Korean families in Georgia occasionally need consents for children traveling to Korea with grandparents. We draft bilingual consents at our notary with an interpreter and translate consents issued in Korea for use at Georgian borders and schools. The 주민등록등본 and 초본 serve as proof of address and residence history for Georgian banks and the Revenue Service, and Georgian residence certificates are translated into Korean for Korean tax, national health insurance and consular purposes; Korean men of military service age need Georgian student status letters and residence documents translated for the Military Manpower Administration's overseas residence procedures.
Bank statements, employment documents, and how to order
Georgian banks and the Public Service Development Agency want proof of income and, for banks, an explanation of where money comes from. We translate Korean bank statements from KB Kookmin, Shinhan, Woori, Hana and NH, 재직증명서 and 근로계약서, 소득금액증명 from the National Tax Service, 사업자등록증 for business owners, property documents and pension statements from the National Pension Service. Bank statements and private documents need no apostille. Figures in won are translated with the currency stated exactly as in the source. Turnaround is same day, because accounts and applications are usually waiting on these documents.
To order, send photos of every page, or the e-apostille PDFs, on KakaoTalk, WhatsApp or Telegram; we reply in Korean or English within 15 minutes with a fixed quote. Passports, 주민등록증, driving licenses and bank statements need nothing further. For other documents the notary works from the apostilled original or the verified e-apostille PDF, which you bring or send to Agmashenebeli 117 near Marjanishvili Metro. Delivery is by scan the moment the notary signs, by collection, by courier in Tbilisi the same day, or by courier to any Georgian city the next day. Most personal documents are finished within the same afternoon.
