Passaporte, cartão de cidadão, RG, CNH and carta de condução

Portuguese passports and cartões de cidadão, and Brazilian passports, RG and CPF cards, are translated into Georgian for residence permits, company registration, property purchases, bank accounts, lease agreements and marriage at the House of Justice. Because these are standardized documents, we translate and notarize them from a clear photo, without the original, and courier the notarized translation anywhere in Georgia or abroad. Portuguese cartas de condução and Brazilian CNH are translated for the Service Agency when exchanging or presenting a license, and for rental and insurance companies. Transliteration of your name into Georgian is fixed at the first translation and kept on file so every subsequent document matches; Portuguese names, often long, with several surnames and nasal vowels, are transliterated by consistent rules aligned with the passport's machine-readable line, and the NIF, CPF, número de utente and cartão de cidadão number are reproduced exactly.

Certidões de nascimento, casamento and óbito

Portuguese civil status is recorded in the Conservatórias do Registo Civil, which issue certidões de nascimento, casamento and óbito in narrative (certidão de cópia integral) or summary form, on paper or online through the Civil Online service; Brazilian certidões come from the cartórios de registro civil, in a standardized format since 2010 and increasingly as digital certificates. Georgian authorities accept either, apostilled, translated and notarized here, for marriage registration, family residence permits, inheritance and divorce proceedings. Divorce in Portugal is evidenced by the averbamento on the marriage certidão or the Conservatória's decision; in Brazil by the averbação on the certidão de casamento. In the other direction, Georgian birth, marriage and death certificates go to the Conservatórias for transcrição and nationality, to AIMA for reagrupamento familiar, and to Brazilian cartórios and the Polícia Federal; these are apostilled and translated into the right variant. Every translation mirrors the original field by field, including the marginal averbamentos that Portuguese and Brazilian certificates carry.

Registo criminal, atestado de antecedentes and the Georgian conviction certificate

Georgian temporary residence permits require a criminal record check from the applicant's country. For Portuguese citizens that is the certificado de registo criminal from the Direção-Geral da Administração da Justiça, obtained online or at a court, apostilled by the PGR; for Brazilians the certidão de antecedentes criminais from the Polícia Federal or the state civil police, apostilled at a cartório. We translate either into Georgian and notarize it in 1-2 hours. Georgians applying to AIMA need the Georgian conviction certificate from the Ministry of Internal Affairs, apostilled and translated into Portuguese, issued within the last three months and, for nationality, also required by the Conservatória dos Registos Centrais; Brazil's Polícia Federal asks for it for residence registration. We treat these as express work because of the validity windows.

Marriage in Portugal, Brazil and Georgia

A Georgian marrying in Portugal opens a processo de casamento at a Conservatória with the Georgian birth certificate, a certificate of marital status confirming no impediment, the passport and residence document, and, if previously married, divorce decisions, all apostilled and certified; the Conservatória then authorizes the marriage, civil or Catholic with civil effect. Georgians marrying in Brazil go through habilitação de casamento at a cartório with the same documents in tradução juramentada. A Portuguese citizen marrying in Georgia presents a certidão de nascimento with the averbamento showing marital status, apostilled, translated into Georgian and notarized; a Brazilian presents a certidão de nascimento or a declaração de estado civil. We prepare all of these sets, know the validity windows the Conservatórias and cartórios apply, and after a marriage in Georgia we translate the Georgian certificate for transcrição in Portugal or registration in Brazil.

Child travel consents, atestado de residência and proof of address

Georgian border police require a notarized consent from the non-travelling parent when a minor leaves Georgia with one parent, and Portugal and Brazil require an autorização de viagem for minors travelling without both parents - Brazil enforces this strictly at its borders. We draft bilingual consents at our notary with an interpreter and translate consents issued in Portugal or Brazil for use at Georgian borders and schools, and the reverse for Georgian parents whose children travel to Brazil. The atestado de residência from the Junta de Freguesia and Brazilian comprovantes de residência are requested by Georgian banks and the Revenue Service, and Georgian residence certificates are translated into Portuguese for AIMA, the Segurança Social and the Receita Federal.

Extratos bancários, contratos de trabalho, Segurança Social documents, and how to order

Residence permits, property purchases and Georgian mortgages require proof of income; AIMA asks for proof of means, the employment contract and, for family reunification, the sponsor's income and accommodation. We translate extratos from Caixa Geral de Depósitos, Millennium BCP, Novo Banco, Santander Totta, Itaú, Bradesco, Banco do Brasil and Nubank into Georgian, and Georgian statements from TBC, Bank of Georgia and Liberty into Portuguese in a layout AIMA and the Polícia Federal recognize, along with contratos de trabalho, recibos de vencimento and holerites, declarações de IRS and the Brazilian declaração de imposto de renda, Segurança Social and INSS statements, and declarations from Finanças and the Receita Federal. For long statements we translate the header, totals and relevant transactions where the receiving office permits.

To order, send photos of every page, both sides, stamps and averbamentos legible, on WhatsApp; the quote arrives within 15 minutes. Passports and licenses need nothing more. For other documents bring the apostilled original to Agmashenebeli 117 when the translation is ready, or courier it from Batumi, Kutaisi or elsewhere. Delivery is by scan the moment the notary signs, by collection, by same-day courier in Tbilisi or by courier to any city; most personal documents are finished within the same afternoon.
