Passports, kimlik cards and driving licenses
The passport or the kimlik card is the first document every Turkish citizen in Georgia needs translated: for the residence permit, for property purchase, for opening a bank account, for company registration, for a lease and for marriage. We translate and notarize the Turkish passport and the new chip kimlik card (T.C. Kimlik Kartı) from a clear photo, without the original, and courier the notarized translation to you - the only fully online notarized translation in Tbilisi. Turkish driving licenses, including the new card format, are translated for the Service Agency when exchanging a license or presenting it after an accident, and for car rental and insurance companies. The Georgian spelling of your name is fixed at the first translation and kept on file; Turkish letters with no Georgian equivalent (ç, ğ, ı, ö, ş, ü) are transliterated by consistent rules so that a passport, a diploma and a marriage certificate all show the same name.
Nüfus kayıt örneği and civil status documents
The nüfus kayıt örneği (civil registry extract) is the Turkish document Georgian offices see most often, because it records birth, marriage, divorce and family composition in one document and is obtainable instantly from e-Devlet. Georgian authorities accept it, translated and notarized, for family residence permits, for adding a spouse or child to a permit, for inheritance and for divorce proceedings; some offices additionally ask for the separate doğum belgesi or evlilik belgesi (birth or marriage certificate), also available from e-Devlet or the nüfus müdürlüğü. Uluslararası (international, multilingual) formül belgeleri issued under the CIEC conventions are also accepted but still need notarized translation of any Turkish-only fields. In the other direction, Georgian certificates go to Turkish nüfus offices, the consulate and courts, apostilled, translated into Turkish and re-certified by a yeminli tercüman. Every translation reproduces the document field by field, including the düşünceler (remarks) column that records name changes and other events.
Adli sicil kaydı: the criminal record certificate
Required for every Georgian temporary residence permit and for many employment contracts. The adli sicil kaydı is issued by the adliye or instantly from e-Devlet as a PDF with a QR code; the e-Devlet version is accepted by most Georgian offices without apostille in current practice, while the paper version from the adliye should be apostilled there. Validity is short and Georgian practice treats a certificate older than a few months with suspicion, so obtain it close to the application date and send us the PDF immediately so the translation is ready the same day. We translate the certificate in full, including the verification block, and notarize it. Georgians applying for Turkish ikamet izni or jobs need their Georgian conviction certificate from the Ministry of Internal Affairs apostilled and translated into Turkish, re-certified by a yeminli tercüman for the Göç İdaresi.
Evlenme ehliyet belgesi, bekarlık belgesi and marriage
A Turkish citizen marrying in Georgia presents an evlenme ehliyet belgesi (certificate of capacity to marry) from the nüfus müdürlüğü, apostilled by the kaymakamlık and translated and notarized here; divorced applicants add the court's divorce decision, apostilled by the adliye. A Georgian marrying in Turkey presents the Georgian birth certificate and a marital status certificate, which Turkish offices call a bekarlık belgesi, apostilled, translated into Turkish and re-certified by a yeminli tercüman for the nüfus müdürlüğü; Turkish evlendirme memurlukları want these documents less than six months old. After a marriage in Georgia, the Georgian certificate is apostilled and translated for the Turkish consulate in Batumi or the embassy in Tbilisi, and after a marriage in Turkey, the Turkish uluslararası evlenme belgesi is apostilled and translated for the Georgian embassy and the Public Service Development Agency. We prepare both halves of these files as one order.
Child travel consents, ikametgah and proof of address
Georgian border police require a notarized consent from the non-travelling parent when a minor leaves Georgia with one parent, and Turkish border police ask for a muvafakatname (consent) in comparable cases, which is a frequent document for Georgian-Turkish families crossing at Sarpi with children. We draft bilingual consents at our notary with an interpreter and translate Turkish muvafakatnames for use at Georgian borders and schools. The ikametgah belgesi (residence certificate from e-Devlet) and other proof of address are requested by Georgian banks and by the Revenue Service for tax residency, and Georgian residence certificates are translated into Turkish for Turkish tax and SGK purposes.
Bank statements, maaş bordrosu, SGK documents, and how to order
Georgian banks and the Public Service Development Agency want proof of income and, for banks, an explanation of where money comes from, and Turkish buyers of Batumi property are asked for source-of-funds documents. We translate Turkish bank statements from Ziraat, İş Bankası, Garanti BBVA, Yapı Kredi, Akbank and others, maaş bordroları, iş sözleşmeleri, SGK hizmet dökümü and emekli maaşı documents, vergi levhası for the self-employed, tapu records and property sale agreements, and dividend records. Figures are checked twice, and for long statements we translate the header, totals and relevant transactions rather than every line when the receiving bank permits.
To order, send photos of every page, both sides, with stamps legible, or the e-Devlet PDF, on WhatsApp or Telegram; we reply in Turkish within 15 minutes with a fixed quote. Passports, kimlik cards and driving licenses need nothing further. For other documents the notary must see the original, which you bring to Agmashenebeli 117 near Marjanishvili Metro when the translation is ready, or courier to us from Batumi or Kutaisi; for e-Devlet documents the notary works from the verified PDF. Delivery is by scan the moment the notary signs, by collection at the office, by courier in Tbilisi the same day, or by courier to Batumi and any Georgian city the next day. Most personal documents are finished within the same afternoon.
