Pașapoarte, cărți de identitate and permise de conducere
Romanian and Moldovan passports and cărți de identitate are translated into Georgian for residence permits, company registration, property purchases, bank accounts, lease agreements and marriage at the House of Justice; the Romanian carte de identitate carries the CNP, which Romanian institutions use as the primary identifier and which we reproduce exactly, and Moldovan documents the IDNP. Because these are standardized documents, we translate and notarize them from a clear photo, without the original, and courier the notarized translation anywhere in Georgia or abroad. Romanian and Moldovan permise de conducere are translated for the Service Agency when exchanging or presenting a license, and for rental and insurance companies; professional drivers on the Black Sea corridor need their atestat profesional and tachograph cards translated for Georgian inspectors. Transliteration of your name into Georgian is fixed at the first translation and kept on file so every subsequent document matches, with Romanian diacritics handled consistently with your passport's machine-readable line.
Certificate de naștere, de căsătorie and de deces
Romanian civil status documents from the starea civilă come as certificate de naștere, de căsătorie and de deces, as extrase multilingve under the CIEC conventions and as the EU multilingual standard form, and Georgian authorities want them apostilled by the Prefectură, translated and notarized here, for marriage registration in Georgia, for adding a spouse or child to a residence permit, for inheritance and for divorce proceedings; divorce is evidenced by the court's hotărâre de divorț or, since 2011, the notarial or administrative certificat de divorț, apostilled by the Tribunal or the Camera Notarilor. Moldovan certificates from the ASP follow the same pattern with the ASP apostille. In the other direction, Georgian birth, marriage and death certificates go to Romanian primării for marriage and for transcriere of foreign births and marriages of Romanian citizens, to the IGI for family reunification and to notari for succesiuni; these are apostilled, translated into Romanian and legalized. Every translation mirrors the original field by field, including the mențiuni, which ofițerii de stare civilă check.
Cazier judiciar and the Georgian conviction certificate
Georgian temporary residence permits require a criminal record check from the applicant's country. For Romanian citizens that is the certificat de cazier judiciar from the Poliția Română, obtainable at any police unit or online through the ghișeul.ro and hub.mai.gov.ro services, and apostilled by the Prefectură; for Moldovans the cazier judiciar from the Ministry of Internal Affairs, apostilled by the Ministry of Justice. We translate it into Georgian and notarize it in 1-2 hours. Georgians applying for the aviz de angajare, visa D, permis de ședere, family reunification or citizenship need their Georgian conviction certificate from the Ministry of Internal Affairs apostilled and translated into Romanian as a traducere legalizată; the IGI accepts it for six months, so we treat it as express work and coordinate the legalization with the employer's application timeline.
Certificat de stare civilă and marriage across borders
A Georgian marrying in Romania presents to the starea civilă the Georgian certificat de naștere equivalent, a marital status certificate serving as dovada that they are free to marry, proof of identity and residence and, if previously married, divorce decisions, all apostilled and translated as traduceri legalizate; the primărie may require a declarație pe propria răspundere on Georgian marriage law, publishes the marriage for ten days and may ask for a medical certificate (certificat medical prenupțial), which Romanian law requires of both spouses. A Romanian citizen marrying in Georgia presents a certificat de stare civilă or a consular declarație, translated into Georgian and notarized. We prepare both sets and know the validity windows. After a marriage in Georgia, the Romanian spouse transcribes it at their primărie or the consulate with the apostilled and translated Georgian certificate, which we include in the same order.
Child travel consents, adeverință de domiciliu and proof of address
Georgian border police require a notarized consent from the non-travelling parent when a minor leaves Georgia with one parent, and Romanian border police require a declarație notarială de acord for children leaving Romania with one parent or a third person, which Georgian-Romanian families must satisfy in both directions. We draft bilingual consents at our notary with an interpreter and translate Romanian declarații for use at Georgian borders and schools. The carte de identitate itself shows the Romanian domiciliu, and adeverințe de domiciliu or viza de reședință are requested by Georgian banks and by the Revenue Service for tax residency; Georgian residence certificates are translated into Romanian for the ANAF, the Casa de Pensii and the CNAS.
Extrase de cont, contracte de muncă, pensii, and how to order
Residence permits, property purchases and Georgian mortgages require proof of income; the Romanian Embassy and the IGI ask Georgians for the same and for the employer's documents. We translate extrase de cont from Banca Transilvania, BCR, BRD, ING, Raiffeisen and CEC into Georgian, and Georgian statements from TBC, Bank of Georgia and Liberty into Romanian in a layout Romanian offices recognize, along with contracte de muncă, fluturași de salariu, declarații de venit, decizii de pensionare and adeverințe from the Casa de Pensii. For long statements we translate the header, totals and relevant transactions where the receiving office permits.
